A FREE live Q&A for coaches all about the new ICF mentor coaching policies taking effect January 1, 2027.
Wednesday, August 12, 2026
9:00 AM Eastern / 6:00 AM Pacific
Live on Zoom, FREE to attend

“I recently earned my own MCSACC and MCSPCC, so I’ve been through the new requirements firsthand. I’m hosting this call to walk through the update in plain language and answer whatever questions you have. It’s free, and open to any coach who wants clarity on this.” – Nikki Brown, PCC, MCSACC, MCSPCC
ICF has updated how mentor coaching works for credentialing: beginning January 1, 2027, mentor coaches will need to hold a new specialization called the MCS (Mentor Coach Specialization) at a level matching your desired credential. If you’ll be working with a mentor coach for a credential or renewal either now or down the road, it’s important to understand what this means and how it affects you. This won’t be a formal presentation. It will be a chance for you to bring whatever questions you have about mentor coaching and especially about the new enhanced mentor coaching process.
For example… What is the MCS? Why did the ICF change things? What changes and what stays the same on January 1, 2027? How do I find a mentor coach with an MCS? Bring anything that’s unclear.
