Resources I Trust

I’ve been asked many times over the years what tools, books, or services I recommend. This page brings together resources I personally use, regularly recommend, or genuinely trust in my coaching practice.

You’ll find a mix of free and paid resources here. Some links are affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission if you choose to use them—at no additional cost to you. I share these resources because I trust them, not because I’m trying to sell you something.

Not everything here is a fit for everyone. Use what serves you and skip the rest.

This page is updated periodically as my tools and recommendations evolve.

Books

There are countless great books out there, and this isn’t meant to be an exhaustive list.
The books below are ones I consider truly foundational for coaches—resources that support both skill development and personal growth. These are titles I regularly recommend because they deepen self-awareness, strengthen coaching presence, and help coaches grow in ways that directly impact their work with clients.

Tech Tools

Anyone who knows me knows I love my tech—but I’m not just a gadget geek.
As someone who is blind, I rely on technology far more than the average person to handle everyday tasks like reading print, interpreting images, and understanding what’s happening around me. The right tools don’t just make things easier; they make my work possible.
Below are some of the tech tools I personally use and find especially helpful in my coaching business.

Dropbox

Dropbox makes file sharing and collaboration so simple. I love it. I wish the website was a little more screen reader friendly, but I rarely have to log in there. I use the desktop application on my computer. I appreciate having access to everything in my Dropbox no matter what device I’m on: computer, phone, or tablet.
You can try Dropbox free here.

RaeNotes

I recommend this AI transcription service to all my mentor coaching clients and to other mentor coaches. If you can see, it has a ton of features for assessing recorded coaching sessions. Sadly, not all features are fully accessible with a screen reader, but the basic transcription features work just fine.

Zoom

I use Zoom every single day to meet with clients, facilitate meetings, and record both audio and video. It’s reliable, highly customizable, and flexible enough to support a wide range of professional or personal uses. Especially important to me, it’s also quite usable for those of us who rely on access technology such as screen readers.

If you’re new to Zoom and want to try it out, you can use my referral link below to receive 15% off a Workplace Pro account. If you choose to subscribe using my link, I may receive an affiliate commission from Zoom.

Training and Continuing Education

The following are training programs I have personally participated in and wholeheartedly endorse.

The Laser-Focused Coaching Program

In full disclosure, I am an instructor in this program which was created by Marion Franklin, MCC. It is a fully accredited ICF level 1 program that is suitable for both beginning and experienced coaches.

Advanced Certified Mentor Coach (ACMC) training program

Taught by Fran Fisher, MCC, this program is excellent training for coaches aspiring to mentor other coaches. There is also ongoing support after completing the program.
